Bluetooth device handoff
Move a supported Magic accessory by transferring its Bluetooth pairing from one Mac to another, instead of manually navigating macOS Bluetooth settings.
LinkFlick is a macOS menu bar utility that transfers supported Apple Magic accessories between trusted Macs on the same local network. It is designed for people who use one Magic Keyboard, Mouse, or Trackpad with multiple Macs and want to avoid manual re-pairing.
LinkFlick is a macOS menu bar utility for moving an Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, or Magic Trackpad between Macs. It performs a Bluetooth handover by unpairing the accessory from the source Mac and pairing it with the destination Mac, without relying on iCloud or a cloud relay.
The Macs discover one another through Bonjour on the local network. Users open LinkFlick on both computers, trust the Macs, and initiate a handoff from the app. A transfer normally takes about 5–15 seconds, though Bluetooth range, congestion, and the source Mac retaining the connection can affect the result.
LinkFlick requires macOS 14 or later, Bluetooth access, and Local Network permission. Both Macs need to be on the same Wi-Fi network or subnet, and the accessory must be within Bluetooth range of the destination Mac. AirPods and other headphones are not supported.

Discover nearby Macs through Bonjour over a local Wi-Fi or Ethernet network without a cloud dependency. Separate VLANs, guest networks, and traffic-isolating VPNs can prevent discovery.
Establish a one-time trust relationship between two Macs. Trusted computers remember one another across reboots unless LinkFlick is reinstalled or its data is reset.
Pull accessories to the Mac in use or push them to another trusted Mac. The changelog lists customizable hotkeys for both directions.
Trigger the device handoff through a macOS Shortcuts action or Siri command, including routines that use the “Flick Devices” action.
Show handoff status, provide a completion chime, allow pending pairing requests to be canceled, and issue notifications when a connected Magic accessory falls below 20% battery.
Use one Magic Keyboard, Mouse, or Trackpad with a personal MacBook and a work Mac without repeatedly forgetting and re-pairing the accessory.
Move the same accessories between a MacBook and a Mac mini or another desktop Mac when changing work locations.
Transfer accessories between Macs that use different Apple IDs, a situation described by the developer as a reason for creating LinkFlick.
Add a handoff to a Shortcuts routine, invoke it with Siri, or assign a customizable hotkey when moving between trusted Macs.
It supports Apple Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse, and Magic Trackpad. AirPods and other headphones are not supported.
LinkFlick must be open on both Macs, and both computers must be on the same Wi-Fi network or subnet. Bluetooth and Local Network permissions must also be granted. Guest networks, separate VLANs, and VPNs that isolate local traffic can block discovery.
Open LinkFlick on both Macs, select the other computer from the “Your Macs” list, choose Trust, and accept the prompt on the other Mac. The trust relationship is then remembered across reboots unless the app is reinstalled or its data is reset.
A handoff normally completes in 5–15 seconds. The process can take longer if the accessory remains close to the source Mac, nearby Bluetooth traffic is heavy, or macOS needs to clear a stale pairing record.
It requires Bluetooth permission and Local Network permission in System Settings under Privacy & Security. After changing either permission, quit and relaunch LinkFlick.
