What is Udio?
Udio generates music from a text description of style, mood or theme. Choose a generation length and receive two song variations, then refine the prompt or use available editing, remixing and extension tools.
Free and paid plans support creation within Udio. Audio, video and stem downloads are currently disabled. The current terms limit generated output to personal, non-commercial use and prohibit copying or publishing it to outside platforms; the limited link-sharing exception applies only to sites approved by Udio in writing and in accordance with its instructions. A paid plan increases creation capacity and tools, not external distribution rights.
What can Udio do?
Extension, remixing and editing
Use supported tools to extend or remix a song, or revise music and lyrics on eligible plans. Generation consumes credits; trimming does not.
Paid audio and style inputs
Standard includes audio uploads, musical references, Voice Control, and music/lyric editing. Submit only material for which you can grant Udio the required rights.
Recurring free creation limits
Free accounts have 10 daily credits, then an additional 100-credit monthly limit. Credits do not roll over, and longer generations have a separate daily cap.
Higher paid capacity
Standard allows up to 2400 credits per month and six songs generated simultaneously. Pro allows 6000 monthly credits and ten simultaneous songs; monthly subscription credits do not roll over.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I download songs or stems for another project?
Audio, video, and stem downloads are currently disabled. Under the current terms, output cannot be downloaded, copied, or published to personal devices, streaming services, or other user-content platforms. Udio supports creation and listening within the service.
Can I use generated music commercially?
The current terms allow personal, non-commercial output use and state that Udio or its licensors own output rights. A paid attribution exemption does not remove the separate download and external-use restrictions. Link sharing is limited to sites approved by Udio in writing, following its instructions; approval can be revoked.
What do the plans cost?
Standard costs $10 monthly or $96 billed annually, and Pro $30 monthly or $288 billed annually. The $8 and $24 per-month annual rates are annual equivalents, not monthly charges. Tax depends on location. Free creation has recurring daily and monthly credit limits.
How do credits and trials work?
Two 32-second variations cost two credits; two 130-second variations cost four. Free daily credits are used before the additional monthly limit. Standard trials keep free-tier credits and the cap on long generations until converted to a paid subscription. Purchased credits do not expire.
What account and content conditions apply?
Users must be at least 16 and create or link an account. You must hold the rights needed to submit text or audio and license its use to Udio. Udio may use input and output to train or improve the service. Submit only material you can license for those uses.
How do subscription cancellation and renewal work?
Subscriptions renew automatically. The terms require cancellation seven days before the renewal date to avoid the next charge. Subscription payments are generally non-refundable, subject to explicit exceptions; cancelled paid access lasts until the end of the paid period.
