Adaptive lesson progression
Checks understanding throughout a lesson and adjusts the path before moving to new material, rather than relying only on a one-time placement test.
Adaptive elementary math lessons with visual activities, guided feedback and progress reporting.
Synthesis Tutor is self-paced math software for children ages 5–11, covering the standard K–5 curriculum and additional material for learners ready to move ahead. Children work through interactive problems with tailored guidance, visual activities and immediate feedback. Micro-assessments check understanding during lessons, and the content and pace respond to demonstrated ability.
A parent creates an account and a separate learning profile for each child. Tutor covers counting, arithmetic, fractions and algebraic thinking. It is also offered for classrooms and schools with progress reporting. Synthesis Teams is a separate collaborative program; Tutor itself provides individual software-based instruction. Use it alongside a child’s existing math instruction.

Interactive manipulatives and clear visualizations let children work with a concept, with step-by-step guidance when an answer reveals a mistake.
Text and answer choices are read automatically for users under seven. Users can toggle this setting and adjust the Tutor’s voice speed.
Use reports and targeted feedback to follow a learner’s progress, including students working at different levels in a classroom.
Use guided lessons alongside schoolwork or homeschooling, with feedback on each problem.
Let students work at their demonstrated level while a teacher reviews progress and directs additional support.
Work on topics that need more practice or continue into harder material when understanding has been demonstrated.
Tutor is individual, self-paced software. It does not include live instruction from human teachers or interaction with other students; Teams is a separate product.
Tutor supports iPad, Android tablets and desktop computers, including Chromebooks. The current site also lists Spanish alongside English.
The advertised US annual family plan is $119 per year for up to seven children, before tax. This is an annual plan. School and classroom access is arranged separately.
You can start the advertised 7-day trial without a credit card. Continued Tutor access requires a paid plan.
