What is Mercer?
Mercer, formerly Cala, is a web platform for fashion design and collection development. Designers can begin with reference photos, sketches, CADs, tech packs, or text prompts, then use AI image creation and editing alongside shared creative assets and file feedback.
The software supports teams with their own manufacturing network. Production and manufacturing services belong to Enterprise subscriptions; Designer, Studio, and Studio Pro are software plans that do not manufacture the products created in Mercer.

Brand references with AI Influences
Studio and higher plans provide AI Influences, trained from past collections or inspiration images to guide new designs toward a chosen visual direction. Studio includes one Influence and five trainings per month.
Collection asset storage and review
Keep images, videos, 3D files, and spreadsheets in the same workspace. Add comments, notes, and measurements to creative and technical files so feedback stays attached to the design.
Team and task coordination
Studio supports multiple team members with three editors included. Studio Pro adds task-management tools and includes five editors; assigned tasks generate dashboard and email notifications.
Sharing with production partners
Share print-ready PDFs or collection links with teammates and production partners, including recipients without Mercer accounts. Enterprise adds access to manufacturing, bulk logistics handling, and branding and design services.

Designer is $19 per month, Studio is $69 per month, and Studio Pro is $159 per month. Enterprise starts at $499 per month. Included editors and AI allowances differ by plan; the Designer allowance is measured in AI credits, while the higher plans list AI image allowances.
Which plan supports team tasks?

Can a manufacturer review files without an account?
