Tapt cards use NFC technology. When someone taps the card on a compatible phone, the device opens the linked digital contact profile, where the contact details can be viewed and saved. If NFC is unavailable, the QR code on the card can be used instead.
No app is required for people receiving a contact profile. The source says you only need a stable internet connection to view a profile.
All phones built within the last 4-5 years have NFC built in and usually enabled by default. Older phones may need NFC enabled manually, and phones older than about 9 years can still access profiles by scanning the QR code.
There is no limit on how many times you can update your digital contact profile. If you need to change the printed details on the physical card after ordering, Tapt charges $49.95 plus shipping for a replacement card.
Yes. The FAQ says you can add your card to Apple or Google Wallet from the profile page using the Add to Wallet button.
