NEO is 1X’s humanoid home robot for household chores and conversational help. Give it voice instructions or schedule tasks in the NEO mobile app. Its Redwood AI model learns and repeats physical tasks, while a built-in language model supports conversation.
NEO is offered through Early Access reservations with foundational autonomy. Complex or unfamiliar chores can need scheduled guidance from a remote 1X Expert. It is intended for attentive household use.

Scheduled Expert Mode
Arrange remote guidance from a 1X Expert for tasks NEO does not yet know. The owner must schedule and accept the session using voice or the app.
App control and self-charging
Use the NEO app to communicate remotely, monitor the robot, and manage its schedule. NEO can connect to its charger when its battery needs replenishing.

Is NEO fully autonomous?
Early Access begins with foundational autonomy. NEO operates autonomously by default, but unfamiliar or complex chores may require scheduled guidance from a 1X Expert.
What does NEO cost?
The order page lists Standard at $499 per month and Early Access ownership at $20,000. A $200 reservation deposit is separate from the full price. Purchasing NEO does not require an additional subscription.
When is delivery offered?
NEO’s announced US delivery schedule begins in 2026, with Early Access ownership customers first and subscriptions afterward. International deliveries are planned for later.
Can an expert access NEO at any time?
No. Owners must schedule an expert session and accept the operator using voice or the mobile app. The robot’s ear rings indicate when an expert operator is active.
What household limits should I consider?
Cooking is initially restricted. Users should remain attentive and follow safety instructions, especially around children, vulnerable people, and pets. The overall robot is not waterproof.
Is the reservation deposit refundable?
The $200 reservation deposit is refundable until NEO is ready for delivery.
