Mem combines an AI note-taking workspace with Mem Agent. Users can write notes, speak ideas, record meetings, and clip research from the web. The workspace keeps that material visible and editable, while AI helps organize it, retrieve related context, and draft or summarize from what has been saved.
Mem Agent uses this context to maintain a picture of tasks, projects, and goals, and can surface follow-ups or next steps. Workspace tools include a Markdown editor, Collections, related-note navigation, and an MCP connection for using notes with Claude or ChatGPT. Plans limit messages, new notes, actively tracked work, and Voice Mode; scheduled routines and connected sources start with Pro.

Can I capture thoughts without switching apps?
Push-to-Remember works from other apps on Mac or Windows. Hold the shortcut, speak, and release it to send the thought to Mem Agent as context for the workspace.
Can I export my notes?
Mem supports one-click export of notes and Collections as Markdown files.
Is Mem end-to-end encrypted?
No. Its pricing FAQ says data is encrypted at rest with AES-256 and in transit with TLS, but not end-to-end encrypted because Mem processes saved knowledge for AI features.
