It groups documents, email, notes, and tasks by client or matter, with version history, full-text search, and matter-specific access controls. The Outlook add-in files email into the matter record without requiring staff to manage a separate inbox workflow.
Smart AI answers questions over a matter’s documents, email, and exhibits. Its outputs include summaries, timelines, key dates, and cited answers that link back to source documents and pages. Staff should review these outputs and sources before using them in client work. Advanced adds integrated OCR and document-comparison tools.

Source-cited AI answers
Ask questions about a matter and obtain summaries, timelines, key dates, or extracted parties and amounts, with document-and-page references for review.
Version and comparison controls
Track edits and restore prior document versions. Advanced includes Litera Compare integration and inline document comparison.

No. Starter is free for existing Uptime Manage and Cloud users. Its user allowance matches the related plan, and its storage is limited to 500 GB. Firms purchasing LexWorkplace independently have paid Core and Advanced options.
What are the standalone plans and limits?
Core is US$395 per month with three users and 1,000 GB of storage. Advanced is US$595 per month with three users and 2,000 GB, adding integrated OCR, Litera Compare integration, and inline comparison. Additional users and storage cost extra; USD and CAD prices are listed separately.
How does migration and onboarding work?
Onboarding is separate from the software plan. A free self-managed migration and shared training option is for Uptime Manage and Cloud users. Paid managed-migration packages cover different data volumes and training arrangements; larger migrations and one-on-one firm training have separate quotes.
Does Smart AI replace professional review?
No. Use cited AI answers, summaries, and timelines as starting points. Check the source documents, dates, and extracted values before using the output in legal work. Source references do not guarantee that an answer or legal interpretation is correct.
