What can I use for free?
Essential is an ongoing free plan with spelling and grammar checking and the thesaurus. Pro and Teams add advanced style, structure, rewriting, and plagiarism features. Free installation of an add-on does not unlock those paid features.
How much do the web plans cost?
Published US-dollar web prices are US$24.95 per month for Pro with monthly billing, or US$9.95 per month equivalent with yearly billing. Teams is US$14.95 per user per month with monthly billing, or US$7.95 per user per month equivalent with yearly billing. The yearly figures are monthly equivalents.
Which platforms and languages are supported?
Outwrite has Google Docs and Microsoft Word add-ons, Chrome and Edge extensions, and a web app. Writing checks support English, French, and Spanish. In the Google Docs add-on, review a correction and select an option to apply it; paid rewriting lets you select a sentence and choose a goal.
How do trials and cancellation work?
Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled before renewal. Credit-card subscriptions are canceled in Billing; Apple subscriptions require turning off renewal through Apple. Paid Pro access continues for the period already paid for. If a Pro trial is offered, it requires a payment source and converts to paid access unless canceled; canceling the trial immediately restores free features.
What happens to the text I submit?
Outwrite collects and retains submitted text to provide proofreading. You can request deletion of your User Data, but its systems continue to retain text snippets used by the AI platform. Snippets are not routinely viewed by people. The service grants no blanket zero-retention promise.
What content may I submit or use commercially?
Submit text you own or have a valid licence to use. Commercial uses require Outwrite’s endorsement or approval; Teams is marketed for company communications. You retain ownership of your input, while granting Outwrite a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual, worldwide, irrevocable licence for providing and improving its service.
Are there document or usage limits?
The fair-use limits are 10,000 words per document; 100 documents or 50,000 words in 24 hours; and 500 documents or 150,000 words in 30 days. Where included in your subscription, plagiarism checking is limited to 50 checks per month unless agreed otherwise in writing.
