Multi-source clinical connectivity
Connects with national and regional HIEs, EHR-direct sources, pharmacies, laboratories, and ADT networks through one integration.
Healthcare data infrastructure that delivers unified patient records, insights, and workflows.
Metriport is healthcare data infrastructure for organizations that need a unified view of patient information across clinical networks, HIEs, pharmacies, laboratories, and EHRs. It connects to available sources, normalizes and deduplicates returned data into FHIR R4, and makes the resulting record available through APIs, a data warehouse, EHR applications, embeds, and standalone tools. The platform also supports patient-event notifications, clinical summaries, care-gap and condition insights, referrals, and electronic case reporting.
Start with test patients in the sandbox and verify the data and webhook workflow. Production Medical API access requires requests on behalf of a covered entity with an NPI and a valid Treatment purpose. Clinicians should compare summaries, suspected conditions, and care-gap findings with the retrieved records and verify their completeness and relevance. Diagnosis and treatment decisions require clinical judgment.
Connects with national and regional HIEs, EHR-direct sources, pharmacies, laboratories, and ADT networks through one integration.
Extracts, standardizes, deduplicates, and enriches records into a consistent FHIR R4 representation, with C-CDA and PDF formats also available.
Provides a FHIR-native API for consolidated patient queries, including conditions, medications, observations, encounters, documents, allergies, and appointments.
Sends webhook events as HIE, pharmacy, and laboratory queries return data, and supports notifications for patient events such as discharge.
Makes data available through an API, analytics-ready data warehouse, EHR apps, iframe embeds, dashboards, or integrated product workflows.
Supports AI-generated medical record summaries, suspected-condition and care-gap identification, referrals, and electronic case reports to public health agencies.
Healthcare IT companies and EHR vendors can add longitudinal patient context to their products without maintaining separate integrations for each network.
Care organizations can retrieve prior diagnoses, medications, laboratory results, encounters, and documents to give teams a broader record at the point of care.
Organizations can receive ADT and discharge-related events with associated records to support follow-up workflows and timely outreach.
Value-based care teams can examine unified records for risk-adjustment evidence, care-gap review, and follow-up after discharge. Clinical staff must validate the underlying records and proposed actions.
Providers can send referrals, share records with other providers, and file electronic case reports with public health agencies.
Metriport connects with national and regional HIEs, EHR-direct sources, pharmacies, laboratories, and ADT sources. Retrieved records depend on the connected sources, patient matching, and authorized production access.
The Medical API returns consolidated records as standard FHIR R4 resources. C-CDA and PDF documents are also available when those formats are needed.
Network queries are asynchronous. Webhooks notify an application as HIE, pharmacy, and laboratory data becomes available, including first-data-ready events.
Teams can use the data through the universal API, data warehouse, EHR applications, iframe embeds, standalone dashboards, or their own product workflows.
Medical API requests must be made on behalf of a covered entity with an NPI number for a valid Treatment purpose of use. The sandbox uses test patients without that production requirement. Confirm your organization’s access conditions before requesting real patient records.
