Low-friction capture
Record a thought in about four seconds by speaking, typing, or adding a screenshot, without choosing a folder or completing fields.
Corteks is an iPhone app for capturing thoughts by voice, text, or screenshot and organizing them automatically. It connects related thoughts, identifies recurring patterns, and generates grounded readings from your own history.
Corteks is a thought-capture app for recording ideas, reflections, feelings, and open questions without requiring manual folders or tags. Users can speak, type, or add a screenshot; voice capture is converted to text by the iPhone’s own dictation, and the audio is not sent to Corteks.
Each capture receives a title, summary, category, and tags, then is checked against previous thoughts. Related entries are connected in a graph, allowing themes and clusters to emerge over time. Corteks also provides a search-and-question interface whose answers are grounded in the thoughts a user has captured, rather than in outside information.
The app organizes thoughts into four kinds: Ideas, Reflections, Feelings, and Wondering. It can produce a weekly story about the previous week’s thinking, including what received the most attention, what changed, and what continued to recur. Users can also work with focused objectives and review readings based on their captured material.

Each entry receives a title, summary, kind, and tags, and is compared with prior thoughts for recurring themes.
Related entries are connected on a graph so clusters and shared themes can develop without manual organization.
Ask questions about your own thinking and receive answers based only on the thoughts stored in Corteks.
Review a weekly story of your thinking and readings associated with three focused objectives.
Speak into Corteks when an idea arrives in transit, during a conversation, or away from a keyboard, then let the app organize it later.
Search or ask questions about past entries to examine subjects, worries, or behaviors that keep returning.
Use Reflections and Feelings to keep a searchable record of observations and emotional states without manually assigning them to notebooks.
Save Wondering entries and use weekly readings or objective-based readings to see which questions are developing or remaining unresolved.
Corteks is available on the App Store for iPhone running iOS 15.1 or later. Android availability is deferred and has no stated timeline.
